This workshop is an introduction to letterpress printing on a Golding Pearl platen press (1890) and a Kelsey table-top press (ca. 1960). You will learn the basic maintenance and operation of a platen press, basic type setting, how to mix your own ink colors, press set-up, and printing techniques. We will be printing with lead type, photopolymer plates, and carved linoleum blocks (you can carve your own, or use pre-carved images).
